ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST/FRONT DESK  Is responsible for general secretarial and office functions including typing, scanning and uploading documents into the EHR, answering phones including switchboard, light bookkeeping, tabulating, rounding, collecting payments and data entry. Contact with clients and families in the clinic and on the telephone in a customer service manner is required. Insurance eligibility and enrollment verification and prior authorizations experience preferred. Skills and Qualifications: Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Great Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Data Entry, Professionalism, Quality Focus, must be a team player and have excellent computer skills.


Minimum Education:  High School/GED

Minimum work Experience:  One Year

Required Licenses/Certifications:  None


  •  Obtain doctor schedules daily.  Make sure all charts are ready and obtain charts for any last minute changes.  Deliver charts as requested, check fax machines and deliver prescription requests to nursing.  Pick up any loose filing or charts to be returned to H.I.M.  Put away finished charts, make out guides and pull charts in advance for Dr. appointments. 
  •  Assemble new intake charts, log into computer and file charts. 
  •  Answer phone and process requests
  • Customer Service‚Ķpulling & filing back charts
  • Pull charts for audits.
  • Pull charts for case managers for review
  • Filing in H.I.M. charts
  • Archiving charts and current old volumes
  • Hunting missing charts and gathering charts from C.O.V. and archive boxes
  • Learning hospital charts
  • Basic knowledge on ROI
  • Other duties as assigned.
